# Setealém

Under construction.

Setealém is a horror game engine with a PlayStation 1 look where any NPC can have an LLM as its mind: Claude, a local model running inside the game, Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible server. Scenes are written in Matinta, and Claude Code drives the running game over MCP. I started Setealém in October 2026, in Rust. It runs on macOS, and the code is not published yet.

## What does Setealém do?

### The security room shows every mind

The CCTV monitors inside the game show what each NPC is doing and its latest thought. The Tab key opens the full panel, with tokens and latency.

### An LLM in any NPC

One line in the scene picks the mind: Claude through the subscription or the API, a local model built into the game, Ollama or an OpenAI-compatible server. The game never waits for the model. If the model fails, the NPC falls back to an offline script.

### PlayStation 1 look

The scene renders at 426x240, with unfiltered textures, wobbling vertices and a flashlight, at about 14 ms per frame on an M5 Mac. The --record option saves the model answers, and --replay plays the same run again with no network.

### Conversations the game understands

In the quem mente recipe, every line the player says becomes a question to a model that can only answer in three ways: deny, tell part of it or confess. Because the answer has a type, the game always knows what the character decided, and any clue she lets slip goes into the notes.

### The floor plan is a text file

In the plan, # is a wall, = is a shelf and each capital letter is a place, like the cold room or the loading dock. The game never works out coordinates: it says what goes where, and the engine finds free floor. The plan command draws the whole floor from above, with every place and item named.

### The AI sees what it built

The photo command takes a picture of the game without opening a window, with the name of each thing written on top. That is how an AI agent checks a scene before saying it is done. The engine ships six genre recipes, such as breu, fuga and não olhe, each one a small game that runs.
