# Pounce

Under construction.

Pounce is a lightweight macOS editor where the unit of work is the agent session: one project, one worktree, one agent, one state and one title. It is for people who run a few coding agents at the same time and want to spend less attention on them, without giving up the folder tree and the files. It works with the agent's official CLI and the subscription you already pay for, with no account and no cloud. Besides Claude Code, it runs Codex and Gemini over the ACP protocol and switches accounts on its own when one hits its limit. I started Pounce in October 2026, in Rust and TypeScript, and the code is not published yet.

## What does Pounce do?

### Who is waiting for you, and why

Sessions are grouped by project, each with its state: working, waiting for you or ready for review. A permission request shows the command and its risk, and you can allow or deny it right there.

### Review with a receipt

When the agent finishes, Pounce puts the caveats from its final answer and the session diff, sorted by risk, into one receipt. A comment on a line goes back to the agent as a request. Accepting commits, combines the work with the main branch, runs the tests and only then merges.

### File tree and editor inside the session

Clicking a session switches the worktree tree, the files, the diff and the terminal together. The tree shows the git status and what this session changed, and the editor opens, edits and saves the file right there.

### Sessions on a canvas

Besides the list, each project has a canvas where every session becomes a terminal you can move and resize, with its state on top. Permission requests show up there too.

### Codex and Gemini too

In New session you pick the agent: Claude Code, the default, or Codex, Claude and Gemini over the ACP protocol, plus any other agent that speaks ACP. The session gets the same list, the same permission request and the same receipt.

### Several accounts, switched at the limit

You can add more than one account for each AI. When the session's account hits its usage limit, Pounce moves to the one with the most room and, in Claude Code, resumes the same conversation. A browser extension switches the login on claude.ai and chatgpt.com in one click.

### Floors on the canvas

On the canvas, each project can have several floors, and each one can get its own git worktree or clone with its own branch. The floor shows its changes and the commits ahead of main. Before deleting the worktree, Pounce checks what would be lost.
